Knots to be tied up - joint responsibility for green transition

During Wednesday, the Government's Industry Coordinator Kristina Alvendal visited us and we talked about our venture in Torsboda and raised important issues. Together with her colleagues at the start-up Acceleration Office, she is working to identify knots that slow down green transition and to propose measures to dissolve them.

- For me, it is clear that the green transition is business-driven and that the will and drive necessary to succeed is found in the municipalities and in companies, says Kristina Alvendal. The transition is not about one or two companies but things are happening all over Sweden now and we have a chance to position ourselves as a country. We must ensure that decision-making processes can run smoothly and that different authorities do not make each other difficult, as is sometimes the case.

Among other things, we highlighted the investments in infrastructure needed in municipalities that invest in transformation and growth. We want the state to be involved in funding certain parts of which the E4 traffic area is an example.

- Municipalities and regions can do a lot, but state support and increased cooperation between authorities, where warranted, can change the conditions enormously for municipalities and our counterparts in the country. I'm glad we got to talk about this today,” says Christian Söderberg, CEO of Torsboda Industrial Park.
